When You’re Not Always Glowing

No one tells you what it really feels like to lie awake at night, heart racing with worry.

Or how that sudden thought creeps in: Can I really do this?

Everyone says: “Enjoy your pregnancy, it’s such a beautiful time.”

But what if your mind is full of fear? Fear of giving birth. Fear of the pain. Fear of what could go wrong.

You’re not alone.

Many women feel insecure, even if they don’t show it. Sometimes we smile, make jokes, while inside a storm is raging.

And you know what?

That’s okay.

Feeling uncertain doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you care — about your baby, about yourself, about the life you’ll soon hold in your arms.

Talk about it. Find someone who will listen without judgment. And remember: strength isn’t the absence of fear, it’s moving forward despite it.

You don’t have to be glowing all the time.

You just have to be you.
